Marquardt has been developing and manufacturing battery management systems for over ten years. Our integrated turnkey solutions make it easier for manufacturers to install efficient, reliable, and long-lasting drives in their electric vehicles.
Currently, our second factory, exclusively for battery management systems, is under construction in Ichtershausen/Thuringia. Start of serial production: as early as mid-2023. Including highly automated logistics processes.
We have proactively planned and continuously optimized the capacities in the production network of the Marquardt Group. Today, they qualify us as a reliable partner for the electric car production

In addition, in 2021 we consolidated our expertise in the field of e-mobility into a separate business unit. With the establishment of "Power and Energy Solutions," a process redesign went hand in hand. Lean and effective workflows are guaranteed, both in development and in production.

The Marquardt Group is focused on expanding its position in energy management and power electronics. Our development and manufacturing expertise has grown over the years. The start was in the low-voltage range with a 12-volt battery management system. It can be used at all levels of electrification. This was quickly followed by controls for the high-voltage range and systems that elegantly combine battery management and charging in one product. Like the Interactive Charging Socket, for example.
New techniques always open up new possibilities: Today, we are already able to monitor individual lithium-ion cells and measure their charge level. The battery is always in an optimal operating state and remains fully protected even at high energy density. This makes it more efficient and durable - no matter what the track demands: rapid sprints, quick pace changes in winding chicanes, or an economical endurance run.

Today, the portfolio of the Business Unit "Power and Energy Solutions" includes charging and converter systems as well as battery management systems from 12 to 800 volts. But also control units, sensors, and components for hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicles. Marquardt masters both drive sources, and the similarities are significant. We combine the best of both concepts and create a shared architecture. To this end, we collaborate with manufacturers in numerous pre-development projects.

Marquardt is happy to share specialized knowledge, for example, in special machine construction, automation technology, and testing technology. For this, we founded MARQ4 Automation GmbH in 2021. Their solutions are used in the automotive industry, the electronics sector, or by medical technology manufacturers.
E&C Testlab GmbH also has its origins in the Marquardt Group. The accredited EMC and environmental laboratory and service center for industrial computer tomography provide experienced engineers and technicians for the entire testing process.
